Hello! I’m Anna (she/her).
Change, grief, and loss can upend our plans, making us feel lost, overwhelmed, and unsure of which path to take. During these difficult times of transition, it’s natural to look for answers and long for relief. Sometimes you need a compassionate and reliable guide to walk alongside you and help you find your way.
As a therapist specializing in grief and loss, I offer a calm and compassionate presence as well as practical guidance and support. I am warm and direct, and I will actively collaborate with you to help you achieve the outcomes you seek. Many of my clients identify as an empath or highly sensitive person (HSP). I am LGBTQ+ affirming and I enjoy supporting clients of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
My therapeutic approach is holistic, integrating modalities drawn from my training in psychodynamic psychotherapy, ecotherapy, Somatic Experiencing (SE), and mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR). My style is eclectic and combines somatic and trauma-informed modalities with a strengths-based, relational approach.
I received my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2011. Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked as a hospice social worker, where I supported patients and families facing terminal illness and end of life. My work is deeply informed by my 12+ years of Buddhist study and meditation practice, which have taught me important lessons about acceptance and letting go.
I live in East Falls, Philadelphia and enjoy digging in my garden, listening to audiobooks, making art and music with friends, and rambling in the Wissahickon.
I believe that life’s greatest challenges can be powerful opportunities for healing, growth, and transformation. It is my honor to help people who are coping with a recent change or life transition to honor the loss, grieve the past, and find an authentic and meaningful way forward. I am ready to walk beside you on your journey.
I look forward to connecting with you soon.
